Game viewing vehicles descend the steep crater wall every morning and spend the day on grass plains that are teeming with animals. Tanzania's few remaining black rhino are regularly sighted in the crater, as are large herds of buffalo. This small park has herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and giraffe. It is famous of it's lions who lounge in the Umbrella Thorn (not the one we have our picnic under though!).
